The Covid-19 pandemic has shown that the introduction of digital psychiatric-psychotherapeutic healthcare services can succeed very quickly under certain conditions.
However, even without the pandemic, legislation regarding e-mental health applications is now progressing relatively quickly.
The integration of such applications in everyday psychiatric and psychotherapeutic healthcare is not straightforward. What different obstacles occur in the use of digital psychiatric-psychotherapeutic services in inpatient and outpatient care? How can the potential of digital services be further expanded to benefit the patients? What lessons can we learn from our European neighbours?

On 29 November 2019, the DGPPN organised the fourth German public event within the framework of the eMEN project in cooperation with the German Alliance for Mental Health (Aktionsbündnis Seelische Gesundheit). As last year, the eMEN conference was embedded in the annual DGPPN congress and attracted about 250 interested participants. Read More
On July 4th 2019, the Mental Health Foundation, the UK partner in the eMEN project, organised a seminar Digital Mental Health: Increasing Access and Equity in Cardiff, Wales. The seminar was organised in collaboration with the Public Health Wales 1000 Lives Mental Health and Learning Disability team. Carol Shillabeer, CEO Powys teaching Health Board, opened the day. Delegates were informed that Wales is well placed to incorporate digital technology into mental health care and that digital technology can play a key role in mental healthcare. Read More
