The official project period of Certification-D ended 2023 in May. In summary, the project created a certification process that has been tested and verified. The process can be applied comprehensively to technical products. As a result, people with dementia can use it for guidance and, at the same time, companies can use this certification to improve their products. Read More

This week, a partner meeting of the Interreg-NWE project "Certification-D" took place at GGT in Iserlohn. Over the course of three days, around 20 participants from the project partners from Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Northern Ireland discussed the central results for future implementation and set the course for a sustainable future of the project, which will be completed in just under a year. The European project Certification-D has been working for 2 years to create a certification that validates products adapted for people with dementia. On June 9 and 10, the actors of this project met in Paris during a meeting organized by SeniorAdom. The objective of this meeting was to meet companies working on products for people with dementia and to organize a working meeting of the project. Read More
The Dementia Lab Conference 2022 provided three days of engaging discussions, networking with international colleagues, and inspiring stories from people with dementia, their carers, and companies developing products for people with dementia. Read More
The paper, submitted under the titel "Supporting companies to design better technological products for people living with dementia – a case study” by Francesca Toso and Rens Brankaert is accepted for an oral presentation at Alzheimer Europe 2023, taking place this October in Helsinki, Finland. Ulster University’s eCareWell project has integrated a number of the technology testing procedures developed through the Certification-D project. The eCareWell project looks to support informal carers in the community who are caring for loved ones with a range of health problems including dementia. Read More
