Construction works for VEG-i-TEC have started

On Wednesday December 4, rector of Ghent University prof. Rik Van de Walle gave the official go-ahead for construction works on VEG-i-TEC in Kortrijk. Together with prof. Imca Sampers, provincial deputy Jean de Bethune and mayor Vincent Van Quickenborne, he stressed the importance of the new living lab for knowledge institutions, the food processing industry, the water sector and the city of Kortrijk. The Water Test Network is now up and running for more than one year. In the last couple of weeks the project partners promoted the project and its services in their networks and at several national and international events. Furthermore, the innovation chasers of the project have had several talks with a lot of SMEs. Up till now the project received 59 applications of which 11 are approved and 5 companies are already on site doing tests. At the moment the project is working on the other applications so new approved projects can be expected soon. Read More

TZW’s comprehensive research activities and practical experience form the basis of solutions and concepts for all areas of national and international water management issues. About 200 highly qualified staff members cooperate closely with water utilities, companies, expert authorities, and universities. Water Test Network vouchers awarded to two Dutch SMEs

Within the European Water Test Network (WTN) project, SMEs are supported in accelerating the market introduction of their water technologies. In addition to assistance with the validation and verification of products, this support also includes the possibility to obtain vouchers with a value of up to €50.000. These vouchers can be used for testing products at the 14 different operational scale test facilities. Last summer Water Future and Bright Spark were awarded vouchers. New cooperation between Regional Water Authority Vallei and Veluwe and Cleantech Regio

Regional Water Authority Vallei and Veluwe and Cleantech Regio are stepping up their cooperation on innovation. Mayor of Lochem Sebastiaan van 't Erve, president of Cleantech Regio, and member of the dyke council Bert van Vreeswijk signed an agreement last Friday.
